Theme: Revive Us AgainThe Community Bible Conference—also known as Camp Meeting—is a convocation—a coming together of God's family from Seventh-day Adventist churches across Florida. It's held on the campus of Forest Lake Academy in Apopka at 3909 E. Semoran Blvd.—just 10 miles northwest of downtown Orlando. Community Bible Conference Held One WeekendYou may have read in a recent issue of Florida Focus that Camp Meeting would be conducted a full nine days as it has in the past. The announcement was made prior to Florida Conference's realization of its financial situation. Part of our response to financial issues is that we can only spend one-third of the customary amount for Camp Meeting. This means that Camp Meeting 2008 will only be conducted for one weekend. About the SpeakersKarl Haffner is a noted author and speaker. He currently serves as senior pastor at Kettering Seventh-day Adventist Church. Mike Cauley is president of Florida Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. Des Cummings is executive vice president of Business Development for Florida Hospital and the Florida Division of Adventist Health System. Sherri Flynt, M.P.H., R.D., L.D. is head of Florida Hospital's Center for Nutritional Excellence and is co-author of SuperSized Kids, an Amazon.com national best seller about the mushrooming childhood obesity epidemic Ernie Bursey is professor of religion in the Department of Pre-professional Studies, at Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences in Orlando. Derek Morris is senior pastor at Forest Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church. |

Henry Wright Sermons Available On DVDFlorida Conference is pleased to respond to the exceedingly popular demand for DVD copies of Henry Wright's sermons at the 2006 Community Bible Conference (Camp Meeting). Wright's three evening messages from June 1-3 and the June 3 Sabbath worship sermon are on one DVD, available from the Conference communication department for $10. Sorry, no credit cards. Cash, money orders, or checks made out to Florida Conference only. Please note, double-layer recordable DVDs were used to fit all four sermons on one disc. These discs might not play properly on DVD players older than a couple years. One player that was tested was able to play the first two sermons and a portion of the third before the second layer was reached and it could go no further.
